Road Response Operator

About the Role
You will be required to work as a Road Response Operator, responding to traffic incidents and breakdowns along major roads and highways. Your duties include:
- First responder to traffic incidents / breakdowns along major roads and highways including airport links and motorways.
- Support situational incident response officers where applicable.
- Work towards the safety of your team, road users, and other related parties while engaging in conflict resolution and managing critical incidents.
- Ensure optimum safe lane availability and relay up-to-date information to the public, supervisors, and the wider response team.
- Operate a range of vehicles to assist with all aspects of civil maintenance support.
- Work closely with emergency services and provide road trauma first aid and small compartmental firefighting when required.
Mandatory Requirements
- A current motorcycle and MR drivers' licence with no court cancellations or suspensions.
- Highly experienced in motorcycle operations with a strong understanding of incident management.
- A Construction White Card is highly desirable.
- You must be able to work both day and night shift.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
- You should be level headed and calm when working under pressure with strong self-awareness.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in incident management is required.
- Holding full working rights in Australia is necessary.
