We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our Australian Sales team, reporting directly to the Sales Development Manager.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify prospective Square sellers and promote the value of our solutions in helping them grow their business. You will work closely with the Australian Sales team to find new large value merchants fitting the Square ecosystem and collaborate with global Square team members on wider projects.
You will be the first point of contact with prospective Australian Square merchants, understanding and empathizing with their diverse needs and focusing on how Square can best support them. As an expert in the Square product ecosystem, you will document and track qualified opportunities to pass onto our Account Executive team.
To succeed in this role, you will use multi-channel outreach methods (social media, outreach emails, phone calls) to qualify leads and schedule meetings between merchants and members of our Account Executive team. You will represent Square and our product ecosystem in the local Victorian and national Australian markets, keeping up-to-date with the latest business, industry, and product trends.
In partnership with the Australian Account Executive team, you will gain exposure to the sales cycle and further develop your sales experience, learning and maintaining current understanding of Australian and global Square sales processes. Your goal will be to attain and ideally exceed your business development targets, while maintaining accurate sales data and documentation using tools such as Salesforce.

Salary and Benefits:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading company like Square, with a competitive salary package of around $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a base salary, you will also be eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits such as health insurance, flexible working arrangements, and professional development opportunities.
