Religious Education Specialist

The College’s Religious Education program delivers a holistic, human, and authentically Catholic formation of students, staff, and parents.

  • Deliver high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Foster an environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and reflection
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging curriculum
  • Support student wellbeing and growth through effective pastoral care
Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Religious Education to students from Stage 4 to Stage 6
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs
  • Assess and report on student progress
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
Selection Criteria:
  • A commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the Edmund Rice tradition
  • Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries for child safeguarding
  • Qualification to teach Religious Education (Stage 4 and 5) and Studies of Religion (Stage 6) with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
  • Excellence as a classroom practitioner
  • Effective classroom management through clear expectations, proactive behaviour strategies, and fostering a positive learning environment

This is a full-time permanent position commencing Term 1. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a highly motivated and passionate team to provide a quality education to our students.
