Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Process Control System Engineer to join our team at the Kwinana plant. As a pioneer in the Australian lithium industry, we have achieved great things and are committed to being part of the future of clean energy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing modifications to the Process Control System (PCS). This is a critical role in supporting the delivery of brownfield projects that enhance and debottleneck refinery operations.

Key areas of responsibility include working with stakeholders to develop functional specifications, programming and commissioning the control system, designing engineering solutions for the control system, following Management of Change processes, identifying and assessing risks using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures, developing and implementing risk mitigation plans, testing, maintaining, and modifying existing process control systems, optimizing strategies to prevent operational and production delays and minimize lifecycle costs for instrumentation and control infrastructure, assisting in fault finding and failure investigations, and the subsequent rectification work.

This role requires a strong understanding of distributed control systems and control system architecture, as well as extensive experience with Rockwell PLC & SCADA programming. The successful candidate should also possess excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary Engineering degree with professional experience in process control systems.
  • Previous experience in chemical or mineral processing industry.
  • Good understanding of distributed control system and control system architecture.
  • Extensive experience with Rockwell PLC & SCADA programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand control philosophy and configure control system as per the functional requirements.
  • Configuration and commissioning of DOL and Variable Speed Drives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
