Senior Workplace Lawyer

This role is looking for an experienced Workplace Law Specialist to join a prominent in-house legal team. As part of this team, you will work closely with the Head of Industrial Relations, Legal, HR and business leaders on complex workplace matters.
- You will provide expert guidance on employment law issues including contracts, awards, terminations, performance management, and workplace investigations.
- You will navigate complex industrial relations challenges, ensuring union engagement and effective enterprise bargaining.
- Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing workplace policies, contracts, and dispute correspondence.
- As a key member of the team, you will provide practical advice to HR and operational leaders on workforce strategy and compliance.
For this position, we are looking for:
- A qualified Australian lawyer with 4-8 years post-admission experience.
- Strong background in employment law with demonstrable industrial relations expertise.
- Previous experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal function is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial outcomes.
