Job Opportunity

The position of Portfolio Office Lead is available at a local government agency.

This role plays a pivotal part in driving excellence across the portfolio and project management practices, ensuring visibility, governance, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide critical information in the form of analysis and reporting on portfolio and project level health and progress, including financial management and benefits realisation for governance bodies and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Program Leads and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely portfolio and project level reporting.
Key Requirements
  1. Proven track record of running a Portfolio Management Office or completing programs of work on time and on budget using disciplined planning skills and mastery of project management techniques and processes.
  2. Critical skills including program and project health reporting, decision making, influencing and high level of financial acumen.
  3. Ability to provide strategic oversight to enable monitoring of interdependencies across the portfolio of projects.
  4. Highly developed written and verbal communication aptitude is essential.
  5. Strong collaboration and relational skills with a successful track record of developing consulting staff capabilities with a demonstrated commitment to respect for the individual and integrity in relationships and communications.
  6. Demonstrated skill in managing analysis and hypothesis-driven problem-solving.
  7. Developed strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to think laterally, courageously and creatively when developing solutions.
