The position of Portfolio Office Lead is available at a local government agency.
This role plays a pivotal part in driving excellence across the portfolio and project management practices, ensuring visibility, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Provide critical information in the form of analysis and reporting on portfolio and project level health and progress, including financial management and benefits realisation for governance bodies and stakeholders.
- Liaise with Program Leads and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely portfolio and project level reporting.
- Proven track record of running a Portfolio Management Office or completing programs of work on time and on budget using disciplined planning skills and mastery of project management techniques and processes.
- Critical skills including program and project health reporting, decision making, influencing and high level of financial acumen.
- Ability to provide strategic oversight to enable monitoring of interdependencies across the portfolio of projects.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication aptitude is essential.
- Strong collaboration and relational skills with a successful track record of developing consulting staff capabilities with a demonstrated commitment to respect for the individual and integrity in relationships and communications.
- Demonstrated skill in managing analysis and hypothesis-driven problem-solving.
- Developed strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to think laterally, courageously and creatively when developing solutions.
