Our organization is seeking a senior professional to lead our estimating team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing standard estimating guidelines across the business, aligning with corporate governance requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the estimating team, ensuring effective use of resources and assessing resourcing needs to meet business objectives.
  • Consult with operational departments to establish requirements and detail tender pricing accuracy.
  • Attend pre-award and post-tender meetings, responding to queries and understanding requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure competitive winning edge on new work, utilizing UGL's estimating software, CATS.
Requirements
  • A degree in quantity surveying or engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in an engineering and construction environment, emphasizing HV electrical projects.
  • Estimating from first principles, with self-performing and contracting deliverable environments.
  • Experience with estimating software, particularly Expert Estimation, CCS or CATS, is desirable.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships and sound communication skills.
