Become a key player in the portable fire protection industry with our exciting new opportunity

As a skilled Portable Fire Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and selling portable fire hose reels, fire extinguishers and related products across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW.

Working from our Salisbury office, you will be flexible in your location within the Brisbane area. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the fire protection industry and hold relevant industry accreditation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Servicing portable fire equipment on customer premises and recommending portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment to comply with Australian Standards
  • Auditing client locations, quoting and selling the full range of portable fire protection and safety systems, equipment and services
  • Identifying, repairing and installing portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment to specific Australian Standards
  • Completing and providing evidence of maintenance performed on equipment using electronic maintenance records and specific Industry documentation

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Professional experience or qualifications specified by any applicable local classification structure
  • A sound knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Portable Service fire protection equipment
  • A current (QLD) QBCC License, for Fire - Portables Class/Stream for Install and maintenance of Portable Equipment, is mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
