About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team at Uniting. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of care for our elderly clients, providing essential support to empower independence and enhance the quality of life for our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Home Support: Assist with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation to ensure our clients' daily needs are met.
  • Transportation: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Personal Care: Support with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration, prioritizing our clients' dignity and comfort.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
  • Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
  • Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
  • A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
