About the Opportunity
Uniting is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team in Coffs Harbour & Nambucca. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of care for our elderly clients, empowering them to live independently in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living tasks: Help clients with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
- Transportation and social activities: Escort clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social events, promoting their social connections and community engagement.
- Personal care and support: Provide assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration, ensuring clients receive the care they need.
Requirements
- Previous experience: Aged or community care experience is preferred, but a strong desire to begin a career in aged care is also valued.
- Compassionate and resourceful: Embody Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness, providing empathetic and person-centered care.
- Flexibility: Accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of clients, ensuring their care is tailored to their individual requirements.
- Driving and vehicle requirements: Hold a provisional or full Australian driving license and have access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
- Certification: Hold a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
