About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at Thetalentplaybook. As a Specialty Coffee Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing customers' coffee sales through engagement, education, and coffee training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase coffee sales and customer engagement.
  • Provide coffee training and education to customers, including barista and equipment training.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including owners, managers, and baristas.
  • Conduct regular site visits to check on and maintain espresso equipment and assets.
  • Support the Espresso Window and Events teams as required.
  • Collaborate with the Territory Manager to acquire new accounts through tastings and prospecting activities.
  • Develop and update a weekly visitation plan to maximize efficiency and time management.
  • Complete internal general administration, information management, and sales-related documentation.
  • Network in the local specialty coffee industry and provide regular industry intel to the Marketing team.
  • Stay up-to-date on coffee, equipment, training, sales, and account management best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Barista and/or cafe owner.
  • Strong people, relationship, and sales skills.
  • Advanced coffee training skills.
  • Customer solutions-focused.
  • Personal integrity.
  • Goal-oriented and a high achiever.
  • Positive outlook and attitude.
  • Sense of urgency and follow-through on commitments.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
  • Valid driver's license.
