Allied Health Assistant Role

Job Overview:

The Allied Health Assistant plays a vital role in delivering quality clinical services to clients. This position involves working under the supervision of an allied health clinician, providing individual or group programs, and communicating with treating clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Services Delivery: Delivering clinical services as per program requirements and reporting on outcomes of visits;
  • Program Facilitation: Facilitating individual or group programs with clients in their home or at a community-based centre;
  • Communication: Communicating with treating clinicians to ensure understanding of program requirements and reporting on outcomes of visits;
  • Equipment Management: Review of equipment prescribed to clients, ensuring it is working correctly and the client is using safely;
  • Administrative Support: Supporting multi-disciplinary teams with clinical administrative duties;
  • Resource Preparation: Preparing and maintaining equipment and resources for clinical care.
About You:
  • Certificate Requirement: Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance;
  • Licence Requirement: Current open or provisional driver's licence, valid for use in Queensland;
  • Safety Clearance: Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker's Screening card (Yellow Card);
  • Desirable Experience: Experience in community-based allied health assistance desirable but not necessary;
  • Teamwork Ability: Able to work independently and as part of a team.
