About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals with a variety of conditions.

This position supports the overall function of the unit through effective role modelling and the application of evidence-based practice principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meet the responsibilities outlined in Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1.
  2. Practice ethically and professionally, adhering to relevant standards and legislation, maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of practice.
  3. Apply advanced clinical nursing skills to deliver high-quality care.

This role also involves supporting actions that meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, such as eliminating racial discrimination and institutional racism, increasing healthcare access, addressing social, cultural, and economic determinants of health, providing culturally safe and responsive services, and collaborating with Indigenous communities to improve health outcomes.
