Export Documentation Team Lead

About This Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in ensuring all export documentation is compliant with country and customer requirements. You will be responsible for guiding the team, providing clear instructions and direction, and setting targets to ensure they meet their objectives.

As a leader, you will also be involved in allocating orders, providing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WI), working with the Documentation Manager to set key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying areas for improvement.

Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring the team has continuous training plans, trains team members, and develops succession plans. Collaboration with Sales and Customer Service teams is also essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Give instructions, provide direction, and guide a team to meet set targets.
  • Allocate orders each day on the load plan for the following day.
  • Provide clear SOPs and WI for sea and airfreight.
  • Work with the Documentation Manager to set KPIs for the team.
  • Provide a monthly amendment report (RFP, Bills, COO) for the Export Documentation Manager.
  • Identify improvements in controls and efficiency.
  • Ensure the team has continuous training plans, train team members, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Complete documentation.
Requirements
  • Experience in Export Documentation.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Complete tasks within set time frames.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume customer service support role.
