Job Title

We are seeking a highly professional and skilled export controls specialist to support our Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Land Systems Program Office.

The role requires knowledge of the United States International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), End User Undertakings and the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • scheduling export control outputs to meet deliverables
  • developing, maintaining and implementing Technology Control Plans (TCP)
  • management of US Controlled or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS) technology management

Additional responsibilities include:

  • providing advice and assisting to produce/execute technology control planning relating to Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) agreements outside of Australia, Cooperative Programs (MOU), Confidentiality Deed Poll, and Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • TAAManagement
  • managing domestic technology controls, including arrangements for safeguarding sensitive information

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • a strong understanding of export control regulations and procedures
  • experience working in and/or providing Defence export controls support
  • excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Applicants are required to demonstrate their experience and ability to quickly acquire skills in managing export controls and domestic technology control, including the management of agreements relating to sensitive information.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for individuals who possess:

  • a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • at least 3 years of experience in export control roles
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • professional certification in export controls
  • fluency in a second language
