**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Export Bookings Coordinator will play a critical role in managing the transportation of export sea freight orders by working closely with the Load Planning, Sales & operations teams. This role ensures optimal shipping performance through efficient space forecasting, transit route selection, issue tracking, and KPI management. The Export Bookings Coordinator will use CargoWise to maintain accurate shipping records and support the seamless execution of export logistics. This role is also required to coordinate wharf cartage where required for KGF.
- Collaborate with the Load Planning team to secure suitable transportation for export sea/air freight orders.
- Forecast plug and space requirements based on shipment schedules and customer demand.
- Select the most efficient and cost-effective transit routes while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential transportation disruptions.
- Analyse and optimise shipping schedules to enhance delivery reliability.
- Serve as the key point of contact for shipping-related inquiries from internal teams and external providers.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, and other transportation partners.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Proven experience in logistics, freight management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in CargoWise or similar logistics management systems would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
