Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,582 – $100,342, inclusive of annual leave loading and superannuation. About the Role

As a Developmental Educator at Everyday Independence, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments using evidence-based tools to identify participants' needs and goals.
  • Developing person-centered support plans in collaboration with participants, their families, and support teams.
  • Providing direct support to participants in their everyday environments, such as home, work, school, or community.
  • Capacity building of support teams to provide capable environments for participants.
  • Attending peer group supervision, mentoring, and professional learning to enhance your expertise and skills.
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and sharing stories of impact.
  • Engaging in reflective practice to develop evidence-based plans.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Disability or a related field.
  • Eligibility to become a member of the DEAI (Membership required upon commencement).
  • The ability to submit a suitability assessment and be deemed a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Evidence of letter required).
  • Passion for removing barriers using the social model of therapy.
  • Empathy and understanding, with the ability to be open and non-judgmental.
  • Drive to see high-impact outcomes in people's lives.
  • The ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check.
  • A valid driver's license.
