About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire service systems design on various transport, buildings, and Defence infrastructure projects. You will work under general supervision as a technical specialist, performing conventional aspects of Fire Protection while devising new approaches to problems encountered.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of reports and technical specifications, including design of wet and dry fire services
  • Design and documentation of range of wet and dry fire services systems
  • Reading and interpreting Fire Engineering Briefs/Reports
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and NCC
  • Knowledge and experience of project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes for infrastructure projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with senior and junior engineers

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520), and NSW registered certifier C14 (building hydraulics) certification. Working knowledge of Revit MEP is desirable.

You must also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.
