Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our Building Services team in Sydney. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing fire service systems for various transport, buildings, and Defence infrastructure projects.

This role involves working under general supervision as a technical specialist, performing all conventional aspects of Fire Protection while devising new approaches to problems encountered. You will have the opportunity to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document wet and dry fire services systems
  • Read and interpret Fire Engineering Briefs/Reports
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and NCC
  • Knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520) and NSW registered certifier C14 (building hydraulics) certification
  • Strong understanding of fire protection principles and practices
  • Ability to work closely with senior and junior engineers
