About the Role

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Director of Admissions to lead the development and implementation of our admissions strategies and policies. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of our admissions operations, providing expert advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and contributing to the overall strategic goals of the university.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine the University's Admissions Strategy, utilizing data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decisions in admissions and recruitment.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve admissions procedures and policies, ensuring alignment with the University's strategic objectives and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Office, ensuring processes are efficient and aligned with enrolment planning and university goals.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Admissions professionals, including planning and allocating resources, coaching, mentoring, and managing performance.
  • Achieve or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the accurate assessment of student applications.
  • Build and sustain high-level relationships with stakeholders to facilitate cooperation and increase offers and admissions.
  • Initiate and manage admissions-related projects, including process improvements and system implementations.
  • Prepare, manage, and oversee the Admissions Office budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilisation.
Requirements
  • A Postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in senior admissions or recruitment roles within the higher education sector, including a proven track record of developing and implementing admissions strategies and policies aligned with institutional goals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing and leading a team, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.
  • In-depth understanding of admissions processes, policies, and best practices within the Australian higher education sector.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret and use data for strategic planning and decision-making in admissions.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide expert advice, present complex information clearly, and interact effectively with various stakeholders.
