About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Research Associate to join our team at GenesisCare. This is an exciting opportunity to work in oncology research and contribute to the development of new treatments for patients with cancer.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating clinical trials, working closely with Principal Investigators, Co-investigators, and the GenesisCare Research Team. You will also be involved in the coordination and delivery of direct and indirect care, as well as data collection for clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely start up and smooth running of allocated trials onsite, with support from Research Leads and the start-up team
  • Work with the team lead and local research team to ensure all recruitment targets and timelines are met
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including your team, research leads, PI, Centre staff, and sponsors
  • Attend trial assessments and treatments within your competency
  • Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, venepuncture, medication management, and maintain proficiency
  • Process samples, coordinate sample collection and dispatch as required
  • Prepare for and host monitoring and close out visits
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in regulatory, administrative, and clinical frameworks and current clinical issues and practice as they pertain to research
  • Ensure all research is conducted in accordance with GenesisCare SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines, study specific protocols, and all applicable national and international laws and regulations
Requirements
  • AHPRA registration with relevant nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in clinical research coordinator- nursing, science or Phase 1 research, Oncology or nuclear medicine with an equivalent undergraduate degree
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, pro-active, and co-operative manner
  • High level of initiative and flexibility, with the ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable national and international laws and regulations
  • Flexibility in working times and locations
What We Offer
  • An excellent salary package on offer, with a competitive remuneration of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience
