About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer in Computer Science to join our team at The University of Notre Dame Australia. As a Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and researching in the field of computer science, with a focus on artificial intelligence, data science, and cyber security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop computer science courses, including artificial intelligence, data science, and cyber security specialisations;
  • Contribute to the design and development of curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and up-to-date;
  • Lead high-quality research projects, publishing and presenting research findings, and securing external funding;
  • Provide academic leadership, coordinating and delivering courses, and managing sessional academic staff;
  • Contribute to the governance, marketing, and promotion of the discipline, School, and University.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a doctoral qualification in computer science or equivalent accreditation and/or standing;
  • Membership of the Australian Computer Society;
  • Experience in supervising honours and higher degree by research students;
  • Demonstrated experience in attracting internal and national competitive grants;
  • A record of research in computer science, particularly in artificial intelligence, data science, and cyber security;
  • Teaching experience, including the ability to develop and deliver computer science courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
  • Strong networking skills and ability to support the national and international positioning of the School in computer science or cognate disciplines.
