About the Position

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our School of Health Sciences as a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy. This is a part-time continuing opportunity for an academic who is passionate about teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions, and studio sessions.
  • Initiate and develop course material.
  • Coordinate courses.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars.
  • Supervise major honours or postgraduate research projects.
  • Supervise the program of study of honours students and of postgraduate students engaged in coursework.
  • Conduct research.
  • Play a significant role in research projects, including leadership of a research team.
  • Involvement in professional activity.
  • Consult with students.
  • Attend departmental and/or faculty meetings and play a major role in planning or committee work.
  • Other duties as identified by the Line Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • A level C Academic Staff Member will normally have advanced qualifications and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area.
  • Possession of a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
  • This may include specific qualifications, registrations, etc.
  • In determining experience relative to qualifications, regard will be had to teaching experience, experience in research, experience outside tertiary education, creative achievement, professional contributions, and/or technical achievement.
  • A position at this level will normally require a record of demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in the relevant discipline area.
