Key Challenges for a Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Software Quality Assurance professional to lead our test automation efforts.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient testing strategies, including pair programming during code reviews.
  • Develop scalable test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines, leveraging containerisation tools like Docker and artifact management via CMake + Ninja.
  • Incorporate static and dynamic analysis tools into CI/CD pipelines for comprehensive quality assurance.
  • Design and execute system test scenarios in lab environments, ensuring clear boundaries between unit, integration, and system tests.
  • Refine test coverage metrics to identify overlaps across unit, integration, and system tests, driving efficient testing strategies.
  • Translate platform requirements into a dynamic QA plan, ensuring test coverage evolves alongside the scaling of algorithms, protocols, and frontend features.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 3-5 years of software quality assurance experience. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python is essential for building data-driven tests and validation suites.

Desirable skills include familiarity with PyTest for functional and system testing, as well as experience creating and managing automated pipelines in a modern CI/CD toolchain.
