
Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in a challenging yet rewarding prison environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hospital or primary care setting, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will be required to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), making informed decisions and taking responsibility for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver routine clinics within the health centre and residential prison halls, collaborating with the wider MDT and Scottish Prison Service.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients, maintaining a professional and empathetic attitude.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of a strong nursing service within the prison environment.
- Experience of working in a hospital or primary care environment, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of an MDT environment.
