We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused administrator to join our team as a Housing Officer - Client Service/Administration. This is a temporary role available with a Queensland Government Department, and we encourage interest for additional forecasted role requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Assessing Property Applications and Grants: Conduct client interviews, make referrals to support service agencies as required, and maintain accurate records.
- Maintaining Property Waitlists and Allocations: Ensure departmental compliance as the lessor in all tenancy arrangements, and manage property vacancies.
- Conducting Property Visits and Investigations: Facilitate the resolution of tenancy disputes and complaints, and monitor outstanding arrears.
- Managing Client and Property Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Customer Service Experience: Proven ability to build rapport, actively listen, demonstrate empathy, and de-escalate challenging customer interactions.
- Administration Experience: Previous experience in an office environment, with a proven ability to pick up new systems and technology quickly.
- Community Services and/or Property Management Experience: An advantage, but not essential.
- Proven Work Management Skills: Ability to manage work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate professionally, ethically, and culturally sensitively.
- High Level of Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Fast and accurate keyboarding skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Positive Attitude and Team Player Approach: Ability to adapt to different work tasks on a daily basis, and support organizational goals.
- Casual Hourly Rate: $44.49 (plus super)
- Temporary Assignment: Initial duration of 2 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
