Key Responsibilities:- Contract Development and Negotiation: Develop and negotiate long-term collaborative contracts in line with the commercial team's objectives.
- Contract Management: Liaise with key stakeholders, prepare and maintain supplier contracts, and mitigate risk across all facets.
- Commercial and Contractual Advice: Deliver commercial and contractual advice within supplier and stakeholder functions.
- Contract Governance and Compliance: Manage contracts according to contractual terms and conditions, ensuring delivery targets are met.
- Dispute Resolution: Avoidance, management, and resolution of contractual disputes.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with selected supply partners and monitor performance.
- Supplier Performance Reviews: Lead supplier performance reviews and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Strong Contracts and Procurement Experience: Proven experience in contract management, procurement, and commercial operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of contract management, with exposure to open-cut mining, oil and gas, rail, or infrastructure sectors.
- Education: Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
- Reliable Tenure: Demonstrated reliable tenure in senior contract/supply chain/category management appointments within mining.
- Residency: Ability to reside in Townsville and work in an office on a 5/2 work pattern.
