The South West Hospital and Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Liaison Officer to join our team in Charleville, Western Queensland.

Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.

The successful candidate will provide support and advice on health pathways aimed at improving the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining networks with local Elders, staying up-to-date on current health issues, policy and programs, and ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are connected to services in a respectful and appropriate manner.
