About the Role

The OT Engineer will provide technical support for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Operational Technology (OT) at all levels of the business. This includes development projects, construction, and operations. The role requires technical expertise for designing, commissioning, and operating assets, ensuring seamless integration with existing SCADA and business systems.

The OT Engineer will also support the OT team with operational works such as minor projects and managing O&M contractor interfaces. This role involves collaboration with other teams within Iberdrola Australia, technical specialists in Iberdrola, and managing contractors in the SCADA and OT areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide SCADA technical expertise for development and construction projects, from design through to construction and connections.
  • Manage project deliverables to ensure they meet internal specifications and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with network service providers and the Australian Energy Market Operator for approval on SCADA deliverables and testing requirements.
  • Conduct acceptance testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet specified requirements.
  • Integrate new projects with existing SCADA and business systems.
  • Manage outstanding SCADA/OT punch list items from construction projects.
  • Perform minor changes, troubleshooting, and support for SCADA and OT operational systems.
