About Us

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in one of Australia's most breathtaking 5-star dining experiences, situated on a remote pontoon against the iconic backdrop of the Great Barrier Reef.

This is an exciting role for an experienced Chef who can craft exquisite menus that delight the senses and elevate the dining experience for guests from around the globe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a pristine environment through commitment to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety, ensuring exceptional service standards are met and exceeded.

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations at our facility with a hands-on approach.
  • Understand and accommodate food allergies and dietary requirements for diverse guests.
  • Maintain inventory and stock levels, crucial for operations on a remote pontoon.
  • Provide administrative support, including ordering, email management, and the creation of SOPs, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking an individual who has the following skills and qualifications:

  • Résumé of working as a professional chef in similar roles.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving stock, possessing refined skills needed for precise knife work.
  • A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar chef's role.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Food Safety Supervisor, First Aid, and Shipboard Safety Skillset certifications.
