Job Summary:
The Department of the Premier and Cabinet SA is seeking an experienced Executive Manager to lead the Library's involvement in the Cultural Institutions Storage Facility Project. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and management skills to enable the storage and preservation of Library collections in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a dedicated team working collaboratively to maintain and preserve physical collections, including seamless delivery of Library material to customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the long-term preservation and conservation of Library collections.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the Cultural Institutions Storage Facility Project.
- Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, cultural institutions, and community groups.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of Library collections.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a cultural or government institution.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies to achieve project objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals and objectives.
Working Arrangements:
This role requires a National Criminal History check and may involve some interstate travel. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
