We are seeking a Senior Clinical Skills Educator to join our team. This role will involve coordinating and delivering clinical skills training and simulation activities within high- and low-fidelity learning environments.
As a Senior Clinical Skills Educator, you will work closely with academic staff to develop and implement educational innovations in the School of Clinical Medicine. You will also have opportunities to accelerate your career through professional development and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and deliver Clinical Skills training and simulation activities within High- and Low-Fidelity learning environments, in line with teaching requirements and guidelines.
- Develop and implement educational innovations as part of the clinical teaching staff in the School of Clinical Medicine.
- Qualification in a relevant health discipline and maintenance of currency in registration from AHPRA.
- Active pursuit of ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with discipline knowledge.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in practical teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate level.
- High-level experience in developing and delivering skills teaching and simulated learning in healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in simulation and scenario-based learning equipment, software, and task trainers, simulated patients, and clinical skills training methods in health education.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Interpersonal and organisational skills, ability to support students from diverse backgrounds.
- Superannuation and leave loading.
