The role of a Life Coach involves engaging with individuals to identify their aspirations and help them build self-confidence and advance their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a deeper understanding of the needs, characteristics, and aspirations of Aboriginal people in social housing;
- Enhance the connection between tenancy management and service delivery by providing effective coaching and support activities that promote positive outcomes for clients;
- Support households in improving life outcomes and achieving their goals through collaborative and coordinated approaches to finding solutions to challenges.
- Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, as well as an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in contemporary Australia and the diversity of circumstances faced by Aboriginal people;
- Knowledge and experience of working with individuals and families in needs assessment and personal development planning;
- Ability to engage, support, and motivate individuals, groups, and service providers, ensuring that all stakeholders are empowered to achieve their goals;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for effective collaboration and coordination with colleagues, government agencies, and community organizations;
- Extensive life experience and empathy for others' experiences, enabling the development of positive relationships and a strong understanding of individual needs;
- Capacity to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders;
- Belief in the potential of each individual to achieve their goals and aspirations;
- Collaborative and coordinated approach to finding solutions to challenges and addressing complex issues.
