Revenue and Invoicing Specialist

The finance team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our ranks as a revenue and invoicing specialist.

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring accurate billing based on contractual terms, timesheets, and project milestones. The successful candidate will collaborate with project and engagement managers to understand contract scopes and ensure revenue and billing align accordingly.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or revenue recognition is essential, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment.

The following key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring accurate billing based on contractual terms, timesheets, and project milestones.
  • Collaborating with project and engagement managers to understand contract scopes and ensure revenue and billing align accordingly.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and issuing client invoices in accordance with billing cycles and consulting agreements.
  • Ensuring revenue is recognised accurately and timely in line with accounting standards.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring and reconciling accounts receivable balances, engaging with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice disputes or delays in payment, maintaining up-to-date records of client communications and follow-up actions, providing regular aged debtor reporting and commentary to management, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve invoicing, collections, and revenue processes and controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, and supporting implementation of system upgrades or automation projects relating to billing and revenue.
