Energy Lawyer - Senior Role

We are seeking a seasoned Energy Lawyer to lead our energy and utilities workstreams across the Asia Pacific region. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will report to a senior director and collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to drive key initiatives.

  • You will advise on and shape new strategies and processes in the energy, energy transition, renewables, and utilities space to enable the rapid expansion of data centre developments.
  • Review and negotiate legal contracts, and provide practical legal advice on a range of energy and utility workstreams.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement new commercial arrangements and contractual frameworks.
  • Monitor emerging energy issues and developments from a legal or regulatory perspective, driving initiatives to ensure awareness, compliance, and process improvement within the company.
Requirements:
  • A law degree from an accredited law school, and current practicing certificate (if required in your jurisdiction).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in energy, utilities, and renewables gained from a reputable law firm and/or within an in-house environment.
  • Experience advising across a broad range of energy-related areas, including power connection, retail electricity, water supply.
