Energy Lawyer Job Description

The role involves working as a senior legal professional in the energy sector, providing expert advice on commercial contracts and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing general commercial contracts and documents.
  • Advising on energy regulation, including natural gas and electricity law and rules.
  • Handling energy-related procurement, claims, and disputes matters.
  • Assisting the Regulated Networks team on ad-hoc business-as-usual (BAU) matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Experience in the energy, construction, or infrastructure industries is highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in general commercial contracting and related matters.
  • Ability to provide timely advice on diverse matters.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a team and liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
