Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering best practice library services across our libraries.

This role is 100% customer facing and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals and provide exceptional service to our customers.

The successful candidate will have previous public library experience and hold relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Library and Information Science or equivalent.

You will be required to lead and work within a multi-branch team, guiding staff and customers on policies, procedures, equipment use, and access to the collection. You will also assist with information enquiries and provide support with inter-library loans, collection management, and digital services.

Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma in Library and Information Science or equivalent
  • Previous public library experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and work within a multi-branch team
  • Knowledge of Library Management Systems, digital technology, and corporate systems
