We are seeking an experienced water engineer to deliver detailed solutions for water infrastructure projects across multiple mine sites.
- The role will lead the preparation of designs in accordance with Australian standards, ensuring safe and cost-effective outcomes.
- Conduct hydraulic modelling of pipelines, borefields, pump stations, ponds, tanks, and related infrastructure.
- Prepare work packages, including construction drawings, quantity estimates, scopes of work, and stakeholder liaison.
- Foster collaboration between disciplines to ensure integrated design requirements are met.
- Develop engineering deliverables such as pipeline schematics, general arrangements, P&IDs, and equipment selection.
- Monitor design schedules, escalating risks where necessary.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a recognised equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in piping systems and pipeline design, preferably within mining or engineering consultancy environments.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Australian and common international standards in mining and water industries.
- Able to undertake occasional short site visits for scoping and stakeholder engagement.
- Competent in Visio and ArcMap (desirable).
