Water Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced water engineer to deliver detailed solutions for water infrastructure projects across multiple mine sites.

  • The role will lead the preparation of designs in accordance with Australian standards, ensuring safe and cost-effective outcomes.
About This Role
  • Conduct hydraulic modelling of pipelines, borefields, pump stations, ponds, tanks, and related infrastructure.
  • Prepare work packages, including construction drawings, quantity estimates, scopes of work, and stakeholder liaison.
Main Responsibilities
  • Foster collaboration between disciplines to ensure integrated design requirements are met.
  • Develop engineering deliverables such as pipeline schematics, general arrangements, P&IDs, and equipment selection.
  • Monitor design schedules, escalating risks where necessary.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a recognised equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in piping systems and pipeline design, preferably within mining or engineering consultancy environments.
Your Key Strengths
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Australian and common international standards in mining and water industries.
Our Expectations
  • Able to undertake occasional short site visits for scoping and stakeholder engagement.
  • Competent in Visio and ArcMap (desirable).
