About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Officer to join our team at the Children's Cancer Institute. As a Research Officer, you will play a critical role in advancing our understanding of childhood cancer and contributing to the development of innovative treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research into the causes, prevention, and treatment of childhood cancer
  • Develop and implement new research projects, including designing experiments and analyzing data
  • Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to advance our knowledge of childhood cancer
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in molecular biology, genetics, or a related field
  • Experience with gene editing technologies, such as CRISPR/Cas9
  • Knowledge of tumour metabolism and cancer-related metabolic pathways
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
