Job Title: Technical Tester

Our client is a high profile Federal Government Department which is part of the National Intelligence Community. We are seeking a skilled Technical Tester to assist on multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, assess and enhance public and internal facing security systems;
  • Upgrade system security requirements to protect our assets and reputation;
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support;
  • Assist with procurement and implementation of a secure portal;
  • Enhance and improve core system functionality;
  • Implement business intelligence capability;
  • Investigate use of semi-automation capabilities like narrow AI to increase productivity and accuracy;
  • Develop new user interface;
  • Improve data quality and integrity;
  • Utilize industry support;
  • Keep the Service running cost effectively; and
  • Assess future technology and capability needs.

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in test automation for functional and non-functional (e.g. performance testing) requirements of developed software.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prepare, develop and perform testing on components and systems.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in configuration and use of tools required for testing software.
  • Experience conducting testing against both User Interfaces and APIs.
  • Ability to communicate within multidisciplinary team with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure test outputs are understood and appropriately actioned.
  • Experience writing automation scripts using languages such as Bash Shell Script, PowerShell, SQL, Python or Javascript.
  • Experience using common software delivery pipeline tools like Jenkins, Git, and Gitlab and knowledge of concepts such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Application Performance Monitoring tool experience (e.g. AppDynamics or Dynatrace).
  • Tertiary ICT qualifications or equivalent/demonstrated experience highly regarded.

Certification:

Negative Vetting 1 Clearance required.
