About the Role

The Senior Trainer will play a pivotal role in ensuring students are prepared academically and practically for their placements. This position demands proactive compliance with regulatory frameworks, enhancing student engagement, and ensuring their academic success through effective placements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and develop current, relevant material for fieldwork placements.
  • Assessment and Compliance: Oversee the assessment process to align with learning outcomes, ensuring the quality and compliance of the program with Acknowledge Education standards and regulatory bodies.
  • Professional Development: Engage in professional development to enhance teaching quality and stay current with emerging practices.
  • Placement Induction: Deliver engaging placement induction programs and ensure students meet the requirements for successful placement experiences.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Incorporate feedback from agencies to enhance the onboarding process.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures, and report incidents to the Course Coordinator/HOD.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Diploma or above qualification in Community Services, Welfare Work, Human Services, Social Work, or a related discipline.
  • Industry Experience: At least 3 years post-qualification relevant industry experience, specifically related to areas of proposed teaching.
  • Professional Development: Willingness to undertake at least 20 hours of continued professional development each year.
  • Professional Conduct: High professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to both teaching and industry engagement.
  • Discipline Knowledge: A strong understanding of theory and practice in the relevant discipline.
