We are currently seeking a Casual Environmental Approvals Consultant to join our established team in Darwin, supporting the delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals in the Northern Territory.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional qualification in environmental science, environmental planning, or engineering, with 2-6 years of experience in consulting and at least 2 years of specific experience with Northern Territory EIA's. Strong time management skills, a clear writing style, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams are essential.

This role offers a great hourly rate (approximately $45-$65 per hour), flexibility, and the opportunity to work with a friendly and exceptional team on exciting EIA projects.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPPORTING THE DELIVERY OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENTS AND APPROVALS IN THE NT
  • DELIVERING HIGH-QUALITY OUTCOMES FOR CLIENTS WITH A FOCUS ON QUALITY
  • ASSISTING WITH PREPARING FEE PROPOSALS AND REPORTS
  • PREPARING ENVIRONMENTAL APPROVALS DOCUMENTATION

Requirements:

  • A professional qualification in environmental science, environmental planning, or engineering
  • 2-6 years' experience in consulting
  • At least 2 years of specific experience with Northern Territory EIA's
  • Experience delivering environmental effects assessments and approvals
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental approval processes
  • Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong time management skills
  • A clear, concise, and professional writing style
