Membership Consultant Job Overview

The Membership Consultant role is a dynamic opportunity for sales professionals to excel in the fitness industry. This position requires exceptional communication skills, a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new membership sales and grow the club member base by utilizing creative sales techniques and actively promoting the facilities to local businesses and the community.
  • Achieve the required number of lead contacts via telephone to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Provide sales presentations and tours to prospective members, highlighting features and benefits that meet identified fitness needs.
  • Create positive and personalized interactions with members to deliver great member journeys.
  • Track leads, appointments, and sales daily on our CRM system.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed membership sales targets and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of previous sales experience, preferably in the fitness industry but not mandatory.
  • A financially motivated individual with a natural drive to achieve individual targets and team goals.
  • Experience in a KPI-driven environment with a proactive lead generation mindset.
  • Ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and a desire to help individuals succeed with their fitness goals.
  • The ability to solve problems, overcome obstacles, and think critically.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, including listening, understanding, empathizing, and influencing others.
  • Customer-focused with a desire to achieve exceptional customer outcomes.
