Community Mental Health Clinician, Allied Health Specialist

The NSW Government is seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Clinician to join our team in the Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Service. As an Allied Health Clinician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs.

">We are looking for a dedicated and passionate clinician who can provide comprehensive assessments, develop time-limited packages of care, and work collaboratively with consumers and their caregivers to achieve recovery-focused goals.

>Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with consumers and their caregivers;>
- Provide education and support to consumers and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and coping strategies;>
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery;>
- Maintain accurate and timely records of consumer interactions, progress notes, and outcome measures;>
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will require:

- A degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution;>
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers;>
- Demonstrated experience working in mental health settings, preferably in community-based roles;>
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with diverse populations;>
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with capacity to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
