
Sports Operations Coordinator

The Sports Coordinator role is an opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful contribution to the success of our College.
- Administer and support sports operations, working closely with the Sport and Recreation Education department and the Sport and Recreation Team Leader.
- Prepare and manage equipment for various sporting teams and scheduled PE classes, ensuring efficient use and maintenance.
- Monitor sport equipment condition, identifying any damage or issues requiring attention.
- Coordinate uniform allocation, washing, sorting, and folding.
- Organise and assist in running school carnivals (swimming, cross-country, and athletics), including setup and pack-up.
- Prepare documentation and equipment for all SIS activities, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with external venues, other schools, and coaches, fostering strong relationships and communication.
- Ensure timely return of equipment loaned out at lunchtime, promoting responsible usage.
- Assist with various team sports, such as coaching, running, water carriage, umpiring, team management, and selection.
- Purchase supplies for the Sport and HPE budgets, exercising prudent financial management.
- Organise lunchtime activities, creating engaging and inclusive experiences for students.
- Liaise directly with sport captains, providing guidance and support when required.
- Maintain the gymnasium and storerooms in a tidy and organised manner, ready for all classes, events, and activities.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment used by students and teachers, reporting damages and arranging repairs.
- Effectively organise resources, data, and events, demonstrating exceptional time-management skills.
- Establish clear priorities and meet deadlines, showcasing ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Develop and maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Build and maintain professional relationships, fostering trust and respect within the team and with external partners.
- Demonstrate expertise with Microsoft products, ensuring seamless integration and workflow efficiency.
- Demonstrate autonomy and teamwork skills, adapting to changing conditions and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Exhibit organisational skills, prioritising tasks and managing competing demands with ease.
- Remain flexible and adaptable, responding effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities.
- Previous coaching experience is desirable but not essential, as we encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds.
