Job Title: Family Support Worker

Job Description:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who require intensive support. As a key member of our team, you will provide trauma-informed care and develop positive relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Develop and lead the implementation of strategies that promote inclusivity and diversity within the team environment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local community supports, contributing to individual therapeutic and goal plans for young people.
  • Provide regular supervision and coaching to Youth Workers, promoting best practice and ongoing learning and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Youth Work or Social Science is essential, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience working directly with children/young people in the care system.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children/young people who exhibit challenging behaviour in a trauma-informed way.
  • Strong understanding of cultural safety principles and inclusive practices.
