Contract Manager Opportunity

The position of Contract Manager is now available. This role involves leading the operational performance and leadership of a Hillsdale branch.

This organisation provides environmental sustainable solutions across various industry sectors. With a substantial network of state-of-the-art facilities, we offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Branch Manager to take charge of our Hillsdale branch.

As a strategic and tactical Branch Manager, you will have full accountability for the operational performance of the business. This includes people, fleet, stakeholder engagement, and customer experience.

You will demonstrate operational leadership experience and a track record of facilitating targeted growth through effective resource utilisation/management of assets, equipment, and people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership, mentoring, and development for a team of supervisors and operators
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including regular communication with major customers
  • Shaping, building, and managing strong relationships and alignment with key customer stakeholders
  • Delivering targets for safety, QA, and compliance
  • Providing effective data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Driving continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Having full P&L accountability
  • Delivering efficient and effective fleet and equipment maintenance, management, and optimisation
  • Driving operational planning to maximise asset utilisation and route efficiencies
  • Driving project and change management initiatives

We are seeking someone who brings:

  • A strong track record in safety, leadership, and operational delivery
  • Strong experience leading, coaching, and mentoring a blue-collar workforce
  • Experience developing a structured routine around resourcing and a strong understanding of routing, including the ability to manipulate and fine-tune to drive efficiencies
  • Ability to drive cultural change around safety & environment in the workplace
  • Comfortable around data and able to analyse and present
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to get into the detail to gain understanding but then have ability to rise up and work with respective parties to drive actions and outcomes
  • Demonstrated contract/resource management to maximise on resource utilisation
  • Demonstrated hands-on leadership and technical expertise in logistics & asset management
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets
  • The ability to continue to nurture a heavy industrial operation that embraces both safety and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of motivation and energy
  • Compliance/QA management
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and management experience at all levels across the wider organisation
  • Experience building a high-performing operation
  • A preference for working in an extremely fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability is key
