Maintenance Specialist Role

The Maintenance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting frontline maintenance execution across fixed plant operations.

This individual must possess deep trade experience and provide practical support during breakdowns, assist in complex repairs, and ensure timely fault resolution to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Ensure compliance with all site safety systems, statutory requirements, and company standards;
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to optimize plant availability;
  • Provide hands-on support during breakdowns to assist in rapid equipment recovery and reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR);
  • Execute or guide complex repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure safe and reliable operation;
  • Participate in fault investigations and assist in implementing corrective actions;
  • Mentor and support less experienced trades personnel in maintenance standards and techniques;
  • Assist in validating job scopes, tooling requirements, and work packs prior to execution;
  • Collaborate with engineers and planners to provide practical feedback on task improvements;
  • Ensure compliance with all site safety requirements, isolation procedures, and permit systems.
