Position Summary:

This key leadership role oversees the strategic direction of student services within a dynamic higher education institution. Reporting directly to the Academic Registrar, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading large teams and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

The Deputy Registrar and Executive Director (Students) plays a pivotal role in fostering a student-centered approach, promoting service innovation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior leadership across faculties and professional service units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance student services, aligning with the institution's objectives and fostering a high-performance culture focused on student success.
  • Exercise delegated authority to make significant autonomous decisions, ensuring alignment across internal and external policies and practices.
  • Oversee a broad range of registrar functions, consulting with the Academic Registrar as needed.
  • Lead optimization of business processes for quality, efficiency, and student satisfaction, ensuring effective resolution of issues and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with higher education regulations, standards, and governance frameworks, conducting internal audits and reviews as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, representing the Academic Registrar in committees and working groups.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Student team, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and well-being, ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety policies.
