As a dedicated professional, you will play a vital role in delivering integrated holistic health care to young people accessing our centre. As one of the first contact points for these individuals, you will need to build a positive rapport with a wide range of clients, as well as their family and friends.

Key responsibilities include conducting intake and assessment of young people presenting to the service, including complex risk assessments and developing plans to mitigate identified risks. You will also coordinate care, ensure treatment goals are met, and adjust provisions to help the client meet their needs and goals.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, allied health clinicians, community engagement workers, and support staff. You will also collaborate with local community and partner youth and health services to provide holistic and integrated care.

Essential criteria include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA Registration or eligibility with AASW
  • Demonstrated experience of clinical practice within the mental health field (includes clinical placements and relevant volunteer work)
  • Demonstrated ability to provide triage and assessment of individuals with a preference for assessment skills in a mental health setting
  • Demonstrated ability to provide evidence-based clinical practice
